Tina’s Wish Junior Committee Summer Event, 2014 – The Tina’s Wish Junior Committee raised $8,000 for research to find an effective screen for ovarian cancer. On Monday, August 11th, 150 young professionals came together on the terrace of the Alessandro Mangerini salon for drinks and to raise funds for the Foundation’s grants. Dr. Dan Heller, Memorial Sloan Kettering researcher addressed the crowd about the current lack of an effective screen for ovarian cancer which prevents potential treatments from working at the onset of the disease.
Cycle for Survival, 2014 – Junior Committee cyclists rode, spun and pedaled to raise awareness and funds for Dr. Doug Levine (Tina’s Wish grant recipient) at Memorial Sloan Kettering. It was a fun way to show our support and to get into shape by riding a stationary bicycle for 10 minutes or 1 hour. Teams were located in 5 cities across the country.
